Buying DLC over PSN store vs. adding dlc via pkg's. Which has more risk of a ban. –
Ok guys I've got another question to pitch. I've been roaming around the net looking for an answer and some people actually think it's safer to hack your DLC files on rather than risk exposing yourself.
Is there any sense in this? I was about to buy that 12 fighter street fighter x tekken dlc on the store yesterday and thought I'd better check before wasting 30 dollars and getting console banned again.
How long can you get away with playing with added DLC online?
While, less then ethical I'd say downloading *.pkg Files anonymously and installing them off-line is probably safer. <- Note I took the liberty of highlighting the "Key Words" for you...
You may be able to log in-to the PSN via your CFW.... (For now...), but your taking a huge risk in getting B&'d every time you do.
The ONLY way NOT to get B&'d IS TO STAY OFF OF PSN & ANY SEN RELATED STUFF! (e.g. Netflix et-al...)
The only way to have your cake and eat it too. is to install some kind of Fast Dual Boot Switch, like that of the E3 NOR Flasher.
I've been pretty lucky so far with PSN Tool 1.0 which hides my Peek and Poke while online. I've also bought two games from the online store, wipeout HD and Street Fighter 3 online and I've played over 10 hours online on both.
I understand that there is a risk involved but I figure as long as I go online while hiding any multiman history as well with Ninja Tool I should be relatively safe.
I assume it's also safer to just buy online keys which are only 10 dollars than risk using one that has already been banned and getting flagged in some way. Nevertheless as it's been said countless times, no one really knows how they're determining who they bring the ban hammer down upon. I think for now though I'll give them some cash to fly under the radar a little bit.
I just want to hold out until Sony give up on the PS3 or someone perfects hiding CFW consoles. PSN tool/PSnope are probably the closest things to it.
Well that's just it ain't it. There is no scientific way of getting the B& Hammer dropped on you barring playing COD on-line, or playing some pre-release Game on-line. I've fished 'round here and there in the PSN Store too. Thankfully I haven't been B&d yet either. Its just down to the Weather, the Wind Direction and the phases of the Moon. Whether or not you get hit on that Day or not.
Thus the best advice is to simply not to take your PS3 on-line while in CFW mode...
