trying to jailbreak my old 80gig ps3 and everything works untill i get to the point of it going back to the xbm screen, then it crashes just before, i have fixed permissions installed kmeaws but everytime i just crash at the screen where the shimmering logo is, any help please cause i did my slim easy....

Write a more detailed question and many of us will be happy to help..

If I'm reading it right, try installing the update from recovery menu maybe? When you say shimmering logo, is that the very first thing you see on the screen when you turn it on?

ok, i have an 80gb ps3, i installed kmeaws for 3.55 fine, then installed multiman, that worked great....so i tried to load up one of my back ups like normal, clicked the game i wanted to load and it started going back to xmb but crashed on the screen where the logo comes up and never gets past that point, i have fixed permissions and everything else i can think of! what am i doing wrong?

Did you install the BDEMU.pkg?
