BROKEN BLU RAY PLAYER ON FAT PS3

Hi guys, i jus wanna know if i will be able to install cfw 3.55 and run my back ups even though my blu ray drive doesnt read. I am on ofw 3.55 at the moment but need a link for the latest Kmeaw cfw 3.55 as most links appear broken and if possible a so called patched one cos im bit of a noobie at this. i have a slim ps3 with kmeaw cfw 3.55 and multi man installed already (not by me) and it works without a disc inside so iam hoping i can do the same with the fat ps3.

If the logic board on the drive is still working, everything will work fine.
On the contrary, if the logic board is screwed, you'll have to remarry a new one or yoiu won't be able to run anything.
