You can, but you win need to get alot of stuff, band flasher, program to dump the band, then there is a program to fix the dump, then put that modified version of your band back on your ps3. If you Google all of that you can fix it. I am to lazy to post any links, maracan has a board spec drawn up for a band flasher.

I'm in the same boat as Rolzs, mjgdroid, are you certain that's not just for Waninkoko bricks? Since we know what was corrupted to cause them in the first place.. I'm thinking if we dump our Nands it'll be tricky to find the problem.

Can we extract the equivalent of the Keyvault and Config and paste it into another dump from same model machine on same firmware that's working?

I was on OFW 2.30 which hasn't got recovery mode to save me since that wasn't introduced until 2.50..
oralphie: Will this allow chuck norris to play backups??? PLZ HELP!!!

Can you go tho service mode with the x3max??? then use the .self file 1 modified to bypass the bluray checks. i think is from jaicrab. If you can put it into service mode you have hope to get it back with out soldering and more complicating shite.-

    http://jaicrab.blogspot.com/2011/01/...in-lector.html

but it seems the self is missing. Try to ask for it here cause i dont have it.-

I've got the logic board for mine (in case you thought it makes a difference) and tried to put it into service mode but it doesn't work..

You might as well try it Rolzs and see if it works. If it turns off after like 5 or 10 seconds it worked, then try putting on the 1st Lv2Diag.self like Jaicrabs file plus a PUP file made for not having a logic board, there's a thread for loads of them here somewhere.

Just tried to put it into service mode but it doesn't work..
    Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
    Steps what i make.
    1. Prepare x3max dongle to get into service mode by fallowing x3max downgrade procedure. 3xDowngarder.bin downloaded from internet.
    http://www.x3max.com/x3downgrade.pdf
    2. change x3max programming switch possition.
    3. Put dongle into ps3 usb closest to bd-rom.
    4. Turned it on and imediatly press eject button.
Lights on usb dongle comesup but ps3 anyway stays on about 30 sec.

you must put the dongle to the far left not right, furthest away from bdrom. the usbflash with pup+lv2diag has to be plugged to the right port the nearest to bdrom. but in the end it doesn't even matter...
