BluRay drive no longer detected

played a blu ray for the first time last night since jalibreaking my ps3.

today, no bluray drive being detected..

disk goes in, all works as normal, but will not detect any media..

kmeaw 3.55
latets multiman plus BDEMU



im assuming its not the same issue as no bluray playback as it wont load games or anything?

we need more info. did you ever downgrade? ps3 model?

No, never downgraded.

Everything working fine until today, this isnt a blu ray playback issue, its any media being detected..

busy symbol top right hand corner shows when i put a disk n, but nothing shows on XMB..

ok, when you say any media, even flash drives? try reflashing 3.55 OFW and isntalling 3.55 kmeaw again.

just media in blu ray drive (including games) are not detected and displayed on xmb.

multiman detects my games on usb, so thats still working..

only thing ive done is watched a blu ray last night.. today, nothing.

ill perhaps try a fresh install of kmeaw, see if that solves it..

remove 3.60 spoofer
enter recovery mode
install 3.55 OFW


restart ps3.. multiman and snes etc still working?

this tells me its not installing the 3.55 OFW now..

definately wasnt the KMEAW one as the terms / conditions etc were the proper ones, not the random text on his..

huh? Install 3.55 OFW in recovery. Then install 3.55 kmeaw in recovery.

yes, that was the plan, but after installing what i thought was 3.55 OFW in recovery, I found that multiman etc was still working (i checked to see if the blu ray was working at that point, as it should be, if a restore like this was going to work)

just checked the MD5 checksums, .. turns out it wasnt 3.55 OFW.. probably geohot or something.. so trying again now with the correct one.

Ok, something isnt right here..


Ive just entered Recovery mode again.

Chose system update, installed OFW 3.55

MD5 ca595ad9f3af8f1491d9c9b6921a8c61

that installs fine, ps3 restarts..

Blu ray is still not detected, however multiman etc are all still working..

these would not be working on OFW obviously.. so it cannot be installing the update over KMEAW?
