Blu-Ray playback

Sorry for the completely n00b question, but I was thinking about getting KMEAW 3.55CFW on my PS3, and I keep seeing threads about people losing Blu-Ray playback, and my question is:

I am on 3.55OFW at the moment, if I go to KMEAW is there any chance/will I lose the Blu-Ray playback feature?

My console has never been downgraded or anything.

No you shouldn't. Losing bluray is an issue on phat systems when you downgrade. You might not be able to watch a movie when the payload is running, but if you restart the system and don't open any of the backup mananagers or run the lv2 package to enable the payload, then bluray playback will work fine.

Now to decide if cfw is worth losing the gt5 seasonal events when the inevitable happens and pacces is lost.

I read something like this the other day and panicked a little when i put the disc in and went to launch it and went into multimanager to try and nothing happened turns out i wasn't launching it from video i was trying from game, silly t*** eh
