Blu-Ray Movies after Downgrade Possible Solution

Okay, I have seen the news about after downgrading with the modified 3.41 PUP that Blu-Ray movies no longer work….I wonder if it's because the PUP has been modified? I don't know if this is a solution or not but someone may can test this and let me know:

1. Downgrade PS3 from 3.42/3.50 down to a firmware like 3.15 (since it uses regular PUP files instead of the Modified one)

2. Upgrade from 3.15 to 3.41 using a regular PUP file

When testing my PS3 for upgrade/downgrade on the iPhone 3G, I only had a 3.41 system, but I have a friend that is getting a PS3 for Xmas and probably getting the 320GB Move Bundle so will more than likely have 3.42 or 3.50…so, I wanted to make sure I knew how to downgrade so I downgraded my PS3 from 3.41 down to 3.15 with success. So, I know you can upgrade back up to 3.41 with a regular update if you go below 3.41…BUT, I don't have any accessible blu-ray movies (I am 350 miles from home) so I can't readily test any Blu-ray's at this time…..so could someone test a downgrade from 3.42 or 3.50 down to 3.15 and then an update to 3.41 using a REGULAR update PUP file….MAYBE this will fix Blu-Ray playback

you mean if you put a blu ray disk in it wont recognize it, or it wont play downloaded blu ray content?

Well, according to what I have read on the downgrades after using the Modified PUP, it won't play Blu-Ray movies….apparently games work fine, but I just don't have any Blu-Ray movies…If I don't see any results by tomorrow, I may try to rent one
