Black screen after uninstalling rebug spoofer
Black screen after uninstalling rebug spoofer –

Like the title says. I got a black screen after uninstalling the rebug spoofer. I think my ps3 is semi-bricked.
First i'd like to point out i've reinstalled the CFW after getting the blackscreen(using pendrive).
But still it's the same after switching it on i still get the black screen. So I can only see the recovery menu now. Nothing else.
Anyone got any good solutions?

Just try the rebuild the database or full format the hdd, after that go back to OFW, then install the CFW using recovery menu.

Tried rebuilding database as well but the hdd cannot be accessed.
Not really sure how to full format the hdd because I can't format it using my ps3 because of the black screen.

before you format, pull the power cord on your TV and your PS3 for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in and boot. I get a similar problem occasionally.
Fiery the angels fell. Deep thunder rolled around their shoulders... burning with the fires of Orc.

You shouldn't need to format. This happened to me and by reinstalling my firmware through the recovery menu I got everything back to normal.

Are you tying to direct boot the game? if so try not doing that. If not then I'm not sure whats up. any ugly repair history in the unit?

Same thing happen to me after uninstalling spoofer. I could only see a black screen, I tried all methods to see if it was a HDMI cable problem. I unplug ps3 from one tv to another but no fix. Last thing I did was to install OFW 3.55 from safe mode option. After that ps3 came back to normal, now I have to install CFW to put it back to the way I had it. I believe something is going on with spoofer after uninstalling it.

The majority of the firmware is intact as indicated by a black screen instead of the infamous red screen. However, the way you uninstalled the spoofer probably took out some information that cannot be taken out by any normal means through an OFW. The result is an issue that SONY has not programmed a screen in to tell the user what the problem is and it cannot continue loading until the problem is fixed..
