Black screen after load

So i got a game (Vanquish), split the large file (data001.cpk-9gb) into 4 parts using a program called "Safeimg 1.1". Then i copied the folder BLES00927 into the root of my External HDD. I then used "Comgenies Awesome Filemanager 0.05b" to copy it into dev_hdd01/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ. I proceeded to load the game using Open Manager 1.1.6 by pressing L2+Start, selected the game then hit X.
Once it loads a warning saying directly loading from bla bla. I pressed 'No' it took me back to XMB i went up to my disc and loaded. (I have tried using yes and loading from app_home/ps3game, both of which result in the same error)

Then it crashes onto a Black Screen once it had loaded.
What am i doing wrong?

Have you looked at the directory structure of the game as it exists on the internal drive? Perhaps it's still split? Split files cannot be executed; they must be recombined first.

If not that, try updating your payload and backup manager to the most recent versions (OM is currently at 1.17.2).
