BIG HELP NEEDED

OK guys looking for some expert help and advice.
Tried updating from 3.50ofw to 3.55kmeaw.
Updated to 100% but when installing it gets to 68% and fails to install.
I tried to rectify this by installing the firmware in safe/recovery mode and now it does the same it gets to 68% and fails.A error code comes up and asks to contact sony.Its in a install loop i cant get out of it it gets to 68% fails and tries again.Is there anything i can do ??

First of all you need to update to 3.55 OFW because kamew patches 3.55 FW. So reinstall 3.50 FW than go to 3.55 OFW than go to 3.55 CFW.

Yes i appreciate that but the point im trying to make is i cant get out of the update loop.If i could get out of the ps3 constantly trying to install the firmware i would it trying to update all the time.Even if the console is switched of it automatically starts insatlling as soon as switched on and its in the recovery mode all the time.

Your going into an update loop because one of your peripherals are not working, such as your bluray drive. Can and will cause an endless loop.

The blueray drive is faulty thx for your help.Ill try a different drive and see what happens

I understand that, what I should have said is try installing the original FW that you had before moving to the CFW and see if it fixes it.

Ahh well at least you know more than I do. I've never experienced these problems so the first thing I thought of was to make sure you start from the original FW you had on it before the CFW.

Hopefully paradise will be able to help ya m8. If I would have known it was a BD issue I wouldn't have deterred you from that. I apologize if I in anyway made it harder to diagnose your problem .

Is it possible to get to the recovery menu? If you can then use my link above. If you can't, you need a dev board or another device that can put your PS3 is factory/service mode and use the link i put above to upgrade to 3.55 kmeaw that skips bluray check.
