    Hey guys,

so now i managed to get PS3ultimate CFW, multiman and showtime working on ps3 (thanks for those that all helped!) im wondering the best way to play all my mp3s without building a massive playlist.

In rough terms I have transfered all 40gb of mp3s (via ftp) to the following location:

    /dev_hdd0/music

(seemed a sensible folder name and location to me, although XMB doesnt seem to find the music there even though multiman and showtime did?).

The files are mostly sorted into \artist\album\songmp3 formats with the odd ones in the root directory waiting id3 tag updating. Showtime is pretty slow to navigate around my music and i havent found a way to play every mp3, am i missing something?

Multiman XXMB will play the mp3s fine but again i havent found play all as an option and dont really like going up and down the filing structure to play for more than one album.

I could move all of the files into the root /dev_hdd0/music folder but that would make navigation a nightmare and also really slow as every file would need parsing all the time right?

Thanks for the help, ive looked for a showtime guide but havent found one, im hoping that is the solution or multiman but im open to all suggestions really.

Sorry to ask - kind of related, whats the best way to file all my videos with dvdboxart for multiman?

    I was thinking

    dev_hdd0/films/filesinherempg

then i guess boxart in the same folder with filenamejpg?

    Thanks

When you add mp3's from the XMB they are added into weird folders at /dev_hdd0/music for example /dev_hdd0/music/fh and /dev_hdd0/music/ie so to get them to show up from the XMB you might have to delete them and add them again but this time put them on a usb and add them from the XMB, Multiman and XMB will be able to see all the mp3's without having to navigate through any folders but I think showtime will. Btw 40gb of mp3's wow how many mp3's do you have?

Wow, big hassle then as i don't have a 40gb usb stick! It's about 9000 songs, shame about the import process I guess, kind of reduces the use of ftp server, I guess the videos are the same? How do I play all?
