Best supported dongle?
Best supported dongle? –

Hey guys, quite new to all this PS3 stuff just need to know a couple of things.
Im currently using a PS3break dongle and it works well for backing up, the original disk thing is a pain in the ass but....
Questions is - are there any better supported dongles out there that have more features maybe BR/dvd backup or running my backup's without swapping in an original?
I know you lot must get pi$$ed off with newbies but I gotta start somewhere right

It depends on the payload not the dongle.
If a particular payload is compiled for your particular dongle then it will work.
All dongles are designed to work in a similar way by emulating Sony`s service jig.
A lot of games are black screen at the mo or reboot you to XMB without a disc... It is a hassle to me as my laser is dead. But nay mind.
Future payloads/Backup managers will help, but the dongle market is dying cos of custom firmware.
I like the e3 card reader by the way as it runs any payload for any dongle.
Hope it has answered a few of your questions

Dongles are so 2010. It's all about Custom firmware now (CFW)
Read up on kmeaw and the other custom firmwares and you might decide to ditch your dongle.
Unless it's Carmen Electra calling for an emergency titty f**k I'm not here
