Best software for new Teensy 2.0
Best software for new Teensy 2.0 –
10-04-2010,03:05 PM
Up until this point I've been using the TI84+.
I already have all my packages installed, and I'm very familiar with how the homebrew/ftp/dumps all work.
Today I received my Teensy 2.0 (not ++).
In all honesty, I am a bit confused by all the options presented to me. I haven't been following teensy ports much because I never had the hardware.
So, sorry if this has been asked 100x, but what is the best option to run on the Teensy 2.0?
I've seen PSgrooves of various build numbers, hermes ports, hermes-evil ports, etc. Can someone please just let me know what the latest, greatest software for the teensy is (with backups enabled)?
Thanks a million!

Hermes V1 seems to be the best right now.

If you have the ATMEGA32U4 chip inside, then try the attached hex file.
It's the PSGroove 1.1 version. I use it with all BM's.
The led stays red when it's active.

Thanks for the tip, as I was considering Hermes V2.
Would you mind explaining why V1 is better?
Also, thanks bigdaddie!

Hermes V1 is basically Groove 1.1 with partial No-BD support. V2 was an attempt to fix controller sync problems with some games but turned out to cause more problems than it solved.
Open manager 1.1+ does the same fix without most of the flaws.

The PS3-Scene really needs a wiki or something. With all the variations and ports going on, it's very difficult to know what is best currently (V2 vs V1 for example).

Thanks again!

Tried this, can't get it to work "disk less".

Ended up using the 1.1 Hermes v1
It works just fine, but no LED's
