you loading it from the internal or external drive?
also do you have any extra options selected in the game menu?
(the part where you press square in multiman)
it shouldnt have any of the options selected running from external
(not sure about internal but works from external drive with nothing selected)
try changing a few of the options on/off
probably most likely to be the 'bd mirror' / 'direct boot' options (if you have it on external and turn off bd mirror, turn off 'external' option after as well - i sometimes forget)
can cause an issue where sometimes it needs to be on if its on internal and not if its on external and vice versa
:0.

just read something that the eboot needs to be deleted and reinstalled mate. Ill try that and come back to you.............cheers pal

cant imagine why you'd have to replace the eboot again
(it shouldnt have been modified in any way unless there was an update which you would've removed from the game data bit)
hmmmm, oh well - gimme a shout and let me know how it goes
also - you running it from internal/external?
mine works from external fine :0.
EDIT: and also just copied it to internal to try - also works
and as you asked if i was in the uk i'm going to guess you have the euro version (BLES00912)
and not bought it off ebay or something and got the usa version (BLUS30529)
... i think i remember reading somewhere that the usa version requires 3.60 (so no go unless they fixed it)
but the euro version only requires 3.56 (which multiman can fix)
i've got the euro version by the way
EDIT: sorry, assume it was euro as you said multiman asked to change the sfo - wouldnt if it was 3.60
just trying to compare notes really as to why yours doesnt work and mine does, bit odd really
EDIT: this probably sounds like a really dumb question but it is virtua tennis 4 you're trying to get working right? I remember having an issue with one of the virtua tennis games I could never fix but cant for the life of me remember which one (may have been 3) - it really annoyed me so got 4 instead, lol

cheers for the info mate. I ended up selling the machine and have bought a new one with multiman etc installed but is running fw 3.60...........again mate I have problems, there are 134 games on the system, some work and some dont. I tried playing formula 2010 and it loads to the start first screen where it just hangs on the loanding screen. I have read somewhere that you have to do the SELECT + X start up??? Does that just mean press them together in multiman??
Pal, Im really sorry to keep asking stupid questions but Im Learning..........lol...............
Oh yeah re virtual tennis, yes mate it is virtual tennis 4.

lol, oh well, fair enough,
will say though that you're not running 3.60

spoofed to 3.60 possibly but you're still running 3.55 on the unit you've bought (there is no 3.60 cfw yet)
f1 2010 was a bitch for me - wouldnt work on external, then worked on internal and stopped after a while, now works from external fine but honestly have no idea why in the end !
(just a pre-warning, lol)
as for select+x if you need it for any game (there are a few that need it)
you can press them together in multiman but its easier to 'set it', to do this.......
go to the game (f1 2010) in multiman,
press square to bring up the 'game settings'
go down to the bottom left
select 'bd mirror' and press x
then press circle to come out of the game settings.
multiman remembers this setting so you only have to do it once and will do the same if you press select+x but the above way means you can 'see' it set
if you've got that many games i may have to join you for some xlink at some point bud
been looking for a player or two for some co-op or something?
also, if you've got that many games and are having issues with a lot of them then drop me a list of them (dont be shy to just go through and list the ones that wont boot or that hang)
i lived in a shared house for a while so have a big collection and they all work at the minute so can give you a list of 'settings' for each one if you need them and i had to find out each individual game's setting myself so know what its like (although i did mine as and when i bought the games - not all at the same time, lol)

i may also be able to help you out with virtua tennis as well but bare with me on that one - having some ps3 related issues myself at the minute
which version did you have by the way?
blesxxxxx.... blusxxxx...... other?
(will say in multiman when you hover over the game)
hope you get on a bit better with this unit mate but shout back when you got the time, i'm always online

hi mate, thanks for all the info. I was away for a while and only came on today. What is xlink bud?? will do a co-op thing for sure. There is lots of stuff i need to ask but will probably get chucked off if i ask you on this site

xlink allows you to play 'online' mate - you cant play all games but if you've got anything that has lan then it basically makes the two (or more) ps3s think they're on the same network so that you can play lan games over the internet
its definitely worth a look

also most things are ok to be asked here publicly as long as you stick to the rules although you may get slated for being a noob, lol, but if you're not sure if its allowed or breaking any rules then feel free to pm me if you need to, pms are fine for that

EDIT:
the last list i had of games working on xlink was this one but you can probably add a few more to this now as it was a little while back...
