BBC iPlayer on PS3

I read you now have to go into PSN to download the iPlayer for the xmb, has anyone got the app to download and stick on a USB drive and install? Is this possible? Im on 3.55 cfw and dont want to lose my current setup.

I think the latest iPlayer needs 3.7

it takes the piss a bit, I pay my licence and brought a console that had iPlayer and now because I want the ability to play mkv's and backup my games (as I' too lazy to swap disks

) I can't use it :| and the wii version quality sucks! If anyone knows of a way to get it working please do so and let us all know

Goto your web browser on ps3 and type in bbc dot co dot uk/iplayer/bigscreen
That should work fine.

i went onto iplayer via browser and i was able to browse through iplayer okay but unable to play any video.
any ideas? im on ps3ultimate black edition
