    Hey,
I want to back up my PS3 and its Hard Drive incase anything ever happens to it. Mainly I would like a backup so that if I ever brick my PS3 I can use a backup to restore it.
So can anyone point me to a site, or thread that describes what part I should back up? I do know how to FTP to the PS3...

well if you brick it, updating your firmware.. a backed up hard drive isn't going to save you.

still if you would like to backup your drive, you may want navigate through the XMB, and actually look for the option that sony included in their O/S

I thought I read somewhere on this site that if you do brick your machine you have to have a backup of certain critical files on your Hdd. And with those you could possibly restore your PS3 back to normal...
