I recently bought a 2nd PS3, and wanted to make a copy of my CFW PS3 onto it. If I used the backup utility on the CFW, will it only back up the non-jb content? Or will it back up all of it? I'm just worried because if it does the latter, then there's no way I can get an external that big D:

I do not think it will be backing up you GAMEZ folder, if that is what you are asking. What you can do, is maybe hook both the PS3s together, and use a file manager to transfer the whole folder.

I don't think I can do that with one of them being an OFW PS3 :V

Ahh, I did not understand from your first post, but it will probably not in that case. But I am not sure, if you had a USB to USB cord, MuiltiMAN might pick it up, but I have never asked anyone, I do not know.

You might be able to use the data transfer option, though I haven't tried it myself. http://us.playstation.com/support/sy...s3_315_update/

From what I understand, the Transfer Utility does just as it says: to transfer the data, which means to "move" the data (which I don't want), as opposed to "copy" the data (which I do)

EDIT: Okay, maybe that's not what it says, but I want to be certain before I go through with it :V

I thought that it left the old system intact, but on further investigation I think you're right. Oh well.

Transfer Utility is a raw read/write/remove process in which it copies from one HDD to another HDD (have to be at the xmb, 2 ps3s). Since it moves the files, everything gets wiped on the original HDD. The backup/restore utility is a copy/paste process.
