Backup managerv2 not running without blu ray

Hi guys,i got this ps3 (40gigs) with my blu ray broken(the drive controller is damaged) and i got this modchip with hermes that supports backup manager v2(no support blu ray),everything fine here.When i put my modchip in(pic controller) and i try to run Ftp server or Backupmanager ,the screen goes blank

.Any fix for this?(can't replace the blu ray(controller damaged) and i tried with several pic controllers,but still nothing changed)Please help!!

If the bluray drive's a dead as you say then I'm afraid you're out of luck. No homebrew currently works on PS3s with dead/missing BD drive.

not entirly true...

my disc drive is fukd and i can play backup...

some games do work some dont

hermies v3 was released try that it may help you

its true i have a red cape and i can fly..........
