Why is this an all or nothing proposition? What's wrong with using both? PSN EBOOTs have the disadvantage of not working, ever, from USB, right? PSN EBOOT PKGs and require a bit of work. As an advantage, you can launch them directly from the menu and if they work, they require no Lv2 patching.
As I see it, why not use a combination?
