First, I'm an an old PHAT PS3.
I was already running 3.55 KMEAU perfectly fine, with an older version of MultiMan with zero issues. Have several games backed up on the internal HDD and played them all fine.
Decided I needed to get with the times, downloaded REBUG 4.30.2 and the TOOLKIT and followed the instructions. Updated from 3.55 to 4.30.2 without issue. First used the TOOLKIT to backup my NAND just in case, and then set the QA flagging to 'enabled'. Now I'm running REBUG, cool.
Get on MultiMAN and it doesn't work, no biggie, it's an older version like 4.00 or something maybe so get the newest version 4.14 and install just the "update" package that is 37 MB. Go to start a game and the system flashes and shuts off and I have to turn it off in the back to start it back up again.
I got on here and read that several of you guys have had this issue. Most with Rogero but one or two with REBUG as well so no biggie, one guy got it fixed by running a different Backup manager, Iris Manager. So I download the newest version 2.3 and it was only 4.6 MB. Wow small backup manager where as Multiman is 37 for updates and 298 for the full version. OK. Whatevz. So I install the "animated" version which it turns out these are even smaller since there are two versions. Is it supposed to be this small? Is this just an update and I needed a previous version already installed? I couldn't find anything on this.
Any way Iris Manager crashes and gives some error and goes back to the dashboard. So I'm looking and found an even more updated version of MultiMan labled 4.30 and try that as well, same issue as with the Iris manager. At least they aren't turning off my system, but they aren't working either.
Can someone please help?
