Backup game not copying

I tried to copy Uncharted 3 to my internal HDD but everytime it reach 83%, it stops! I tried both the latest Multiman and Gaia Backup manager but doesn't solve the problem.

This is a brand new disc I bought a couple days ago so no scratches at all on disc. I then let my friend played this disc on his OFW PS3 and it works! so I cannot even return this disc since it's working fine on OFW PS3.

What should I do now?

play from disc? or try freeing some space on whatever the storage device you are using. also if you are using external connect to a computer scan it for filesystem errors and fix them if there are any. may as well attempt an auto recovery of any bad sectors while you are at it. BTW if you are copying to internal try external and the other way around.

yeah you might need to free up some space in your hdd,that game is pretty big size.

Pretty sure Uncharted 3 only plays flawlessly from external. Might have to copy to internal first if it had a large 4gb+ file so the patch can be applied.

Are you sure it's freezing while copying? Sometimes it looks that way when you have large 4GB+ files or games with several thousand small files and directories. The counter will look like it has stopped but if you watch the hard drive lights it is still copying. I would turn off the power save setting on the PS3 and the one in multiMAN and try to copy it overnight

Try copying the game to your computer directly from the blu-ray disc via FTP. Then copy it to your internal HDD from the computer. No need for splitting the file there.
