Atmeg16a/ ps3 stinger

Hi to all, has any one able to use this stinger with atmeg16 chip. I have been looking everywhere for 4 days now but I can't find anything on it as to how to flash it. It's not recognised on windows as it says unknown driver. There is no info on the site either. Flip don't recognise it and it's not on the list.
Can you please direct me as to what I can do.

i didn't think the PS3Stinger ever made it to market...

are you sure you got a stinger?

this is what I received. If I can update it then I'll get more otherwise these are useless. It's an atmega16a and yes this is the official ps3stinger from a genuine UK distributor.

I also have one of these and was also wondering how to update the atmega16a chip. The PS3 stinger team are pretty quite right now so I can't see them bringing many updates out.

Got mine from wii-chip so it must be the legit PS3 Stinger.

i believe it needs to be ported for the 16a. i don't recall anyone using that chip...

how are you supposed to update it? there is no button and that's not a pic...

ps3 stinger and neo jailbreak have the atmega16 chip in common and they also have nothing on how to upgrade/flash them. maybe you guys should contact them through email as both parties website are pretty much dead by the way.

Hey guys sorry for late response. Like they mentioned I purchased it from wii mod chip also, they said it's updateble on the site but there's nothing out for it. Windows don't recognise it or flip. But I did come across winavr open source and it mentions atmeg16a but don't know shat to do with it.

But I installed different managers with the stinger and all worked so i think it's been flashed with the earlier version of Hermes.

Someone with skills heeeerelp!!

Im in the same position as you guys and i also bought from wii-chip.co.uk - (these guys are amateurs!)

It says on the ps3stinger website that they will be putting the tools up etc to be able to flash the dongle.

Also others have said that its a direct clone of the psjailbreak.

Has anyone had any success yet with updating the stinger?
