anyone working on XBMC or something like it for ps3 ?

I think that XBMC or something similar should be one of the first pieces of home brew to be cooked up for our PS3's ! .... is it possible for XBMC to run on the ps3 now that they have full access to it ??

I got shit for brains so don't know nothing about coding and stuff , but i do appreciate all the hard work everyone in the scene has put forth the last couple of months !!!!! keep up the good work !!!!

I believe I read somewhere here (so take that for what its worth) that lantus is working on a mplayer port for the PS3.

Dont know how much truth is in that, but lantus did some decent stuff back in the xbox days (presuming its the same person)

THis would be so amazing on the PS3. XBMC was the best thing I had in my living room. Only had to take it out beacuse the processor couldnt handle Hi Def video.

it would be a dream come true. A while back a website called psmc was set up but when they realised how hard it would be to due to the hypervisor it just faded out I think.

XBMC on the PS3 would be very nice. I would finaly be able to retire the old Xbox1 as my media player. Plus HD playback would be a huge bonus

I'm not aware of any work being done to port XBMC over to the PS3, however XBMC has been ported over to Linux. I think its more likely we will be accessing XBMC through Linux when we get the "Other OS" feature back (with full RSX access).
