Anyone considering working out a way to support Wii Remote bluetooth connections?
Anyone considering working out a way to support Wii Remote bluetooth connections? –
I played around with registering the Wii Remote as a bluetooth device on the PS3 and it does identify itself and register. The light on the Wii Remote didn't stop blinking though, so I doubt you can get it to actually control anything.
I've heard of glovepie, which is a PC program to map controls to the Wii Remote over bluetooth, and it would be a great feature if this could be worked into a CFW or homebrew on PS3. The classic controller and classic controller pro stand out as good options for emulator homebrews.
Just posting this in case a dev with some free time might consider looking into it. I have no programming experience with bluetooth connectivity or else I'd try working on it myself
I also know that this isn't a small order - in fact, I'm sure it would be time consuming and probably isn't high on anyone's list of projects.
I did just order a USB adapter from Mayflash so I can connect classic controllers directly but wireless is always preferable (and I've read that the controllers have a weird button configuration this way, and I'm not aware of a way to manually remap HID controller setups on the PS3).
