I was reading the guide here:
Tortuga Cove • View topic - Rogero CEX-4.30 v1.00 / multiMAN ver 04.08.01 / Showtime 04.01.208
(If it makes any difference, I have a launch model 60GB PS3. I don't have a hardware flasher.)
I assumed you had to downgrade back to OFW 3.55 to install a different CFW, but according to that guide, the only downgrading is for if you are already on a CFW higher than 3.55. But according to that, you can do it from a CFW 3.55.
I Googled around, and others have gome from kmeaw 3.55 to rogero 4.30 so it doesn't look like I need to be on rogero 3.55 to do this.
So anyway, from what I understand, I install that toggle_qa package, turn the QA flag on, then from recovery install the rogero 4.30 PUP right? Anything else?
And now, the point of this topic. Is there any reason to stay on kmeaw 3.55? Other than the homebrew that has to be updated for 4.30, are there any glaring issues or features missing in roger's 3.40 that are in kmeaw's 3.55?
