Any New PS3's With 3.56 Out Of The Box?

I'm planning on buying a PS3 very soon and was wondering if any of the new PS3's come with 3.56 preinstalled already?

I bought a new PS3 a few weeks ago and it came with 3.40 installed when 3.55 was the current firmware. I would assume that you should still be fine with buying a new PS3 as far as firmware is concerned.

I bought a PS3 from amazon and used the date right next to it to find out what kind of FW was going to be on it based on the release date. The one I bought was the 160 Family Bundle and it came with 3.42 because it was released around November or something.

i bought 1 today from tesco £196 for the 160gb it had 3.50 onit

im new to ps3 an wanna now if ya can use xbox controller and whats the cheapest way to do it ,i just cant get used to the controller specially 1st p shoot

Normally the firmwares are like 3 months behind what is current.

bought mine from gamestop about 3 weeks ago and it came with 3.40 on it. was the 160 gb slim with a free 50 dollar gamestop card so i was able to get a 2nd controller and a game for the 300 bucks

Yeh, all depends on what bundle you get.. I'd aim for a 120gb personally to know for sure it's safe, also you might get a better deal on one since it's older stock and they wanna push the newer bundles.

Same as buying brand new Jtag-ables, ya gotta know what to look for but PS3's all seem to be fine for now. I've heard of stores updating brand new consoles and putting them back in the box.. I'd be very pissed off if I eneded up with one of them!

I've not heard of any PS3s coming with 3.56 yet. Usually there is a thread on here when an unhackable one is spotted in stores. I remember when the 3.41 Jailbreak was the only method and when 3.50 came out and someone bought a 3.50 in stores, it was announced on the front page here. 3.56 is still new, so I would say your'e about 99% safe buying a new PS3…worse case scenario, look for one on CL or get a used system
