Any Chance For NTFS Support for jailbreaked ps3
Maybe in the future. It takes some time to code for NTFS support. I don't really see the big need for it myself.
Me either. You can FTP from an NTFS formatted drive to internal.

You miss my point. My point is even with a 60 gig. For the record, I have an 80 gig myself. How many games are you gonna be playing at EXACTLY the same time. Put 2-3 on there and when you are done with those transfer to your external for storage and put new ones on. We are in total agreement that it would be much easier if NTFS was supported, but the truth is there are much larger issues in front of us. Not trying to flame you at all just pointing that out.
Do you know that you can split up 4gb+ files with open manager and tools like safeimg01?
Also you dont need to transfer the games back to the external, because they are still there.

Although Fat32 will not handle file sizes >4GB are games still playable off an external Fat32 HD?
Forgive my ignorance as I am very new to the PS3 JB scene. I have Heavy Rain backed up on my PC. Is it possible to run it off an external HD, in other words, are there no one files greater than 4GB within the backup?
and if so does this hold true for all PS3 backups?
and yes I am familiar with using the FTP pkg to put it directly on my PS3's HD but this is rather time consuming and combersom considering the bugginess of the FTP app.

you will get a warning, that the 4gb file couldnt be copied to your external.
if you get no warning, no file is bigger than 4gb and you can install it from external.
if you get a warning, you need to split the files with safeimg01 or other split tools.
and you only can play the game on the internal, where the splitted files will be merged by open manager...
beside the 4gb limit, some games need to run from internal, i dont know if heavy rain is one of those...
