Another Red Screen Of Death Thread?

I have searched and read, I believe every thread on the net, about how to fix this red screen error. I can get into recovery mode but none of the options fix the error. Different hard drives don't work either. So I have come to the conclusion that the problem is bad sectors in the nor/nand.

The PS3 is a CECHL01 and is on firmware 3.55.
I also have another red screen PS3 CECHP01 on 3.73.
I do not have any background info on these machines because I just recently got them already broke.

My question is will flashing the nand with progskeet or e3 flasher fix this error?

i tell you what fixed mine... i got my dongle ready for factory service mode and put it in the ps3 and hit power eject and the ps3 cut on for a few secs and then turned back off.... this let me know it went into factory service mode. if yours doesnt do that your not doing it right. be sure to turn the ps3 off in the back and then put the dongle in, then flip the switch on, and hit power then immediatley hit eject.

then after i got it in factory service mode i put lv2diag(file 1) on the root of the usb, then i tried many different firmwares until i found the right one. the ps3 RSOD reminds me of a PC's BSOD, and more than likely has something to either do with the firmware on the nand/nor or either the OS on the hdd is corrupted, or the filesystem gets corrupted, but i really dont know, and this may not work for you, but it is worth a shot on the 3.55 console.

i suggest using a bd bypass firmware because if you purchased these ps3's with RSOD you have no idea what has been done to them and the bluray drive may be broke. the ps3 i fixed with rsod originally had 3.30 official firmware, and with ps3MFWbuilder i made a 3.30 OFW bd bypass and that fixed it

if u were able to fix your rsod then it wasnt a true rsod
need progskeet/winskeet/dumper to remap bad blocks e3 doesnt do anything of the sort
sony shipped cechl01 and cechp01 by the 100's of thousands defective(spansion norflash chips) and some late cechk01-they refused to truly acknowledge their error (as typical of SONY) and as a result we hav ps3's that red screen when the nands undergo several flash cycles of firmware upgrading. a tutorial on how to remap will be put on the progskeet page within next few weeks im told or just go on their irc support channel

if you do what noobzilla says make sure your firmware is on 3.55< or you cant get out os service mode!!!

That was my question. What hardware I need to remap. So the e3 flasher will not remap? I need progskeet/winskeet/dumper? I have tried doing what NoObZiLLa said using ps3 jig on my psp. It says it sends the code but the red screen comes on and it does not shut off like it is suppose to. I think I need to downgrade my psp to 5.50 for it to work, but I'm thinking it's not going to work anyway. I really need to remap the bad blocks. I was hoping the e3 flasher would work since I already have one coming, but if I need progskeet, I guess I'll have to order one of those. I'll keep an eye out for that tutorial on the progskeet page.

Progskeet has clips to connect to the chip don't they? I really didn't want to solder anyway, as e3 only has clips for slims.
