3. Discless means you don't need any original blu-ray disc in drive. Worked for some games. Why it was removed is unclear (at least for me)
4. You can install MultiMan and Gaia - they doesn't interfer with each other.

6. There is no risc at all, that your bd drive stops working because of a fw update. During downgrading there was the issue, that BluRay movie blackback wasnt possible anymore.

Diskless has always been buggy. Most managers are removing it now.
As far as internal vs external, some games have single files that are larger than 4gb and must be played from the internal drive. The rest are ok externally. If you use comgenies awesome file manager it will automatically split large files into multiple pieces when copying to the external drive. You wont be able to play the games while they are split but when you copy them back internal it will work again.
Why dont you just upgrade your internal drive? You can get a 500gb internal drive for less than 70$ brand new

2- for FTP nope and for preparing Ext.HDD you need to format it to FAT32 and then create a folder GAMEZ and put your games on it
3- BRRips if you are gunna copy from BD to HDD
because you haven't played ACB in 3.41 jb or you would knowi always like discless play, because i always forget the game in drive
