Diskless has always been buggy. Most managers are removing it now.

As far as internal vs external, some games have single files that are larger than 4gb and must be played from the internal drive. The rest are ok externally. If you use comgenies awesome file manager it will automatically split large files into multiple pieces when copying to the external drive. You wont be able to play the games while they are split but when you copy them back internal it will work again.

Why dont you just upgrade your internal drive? You can get a 500gb internal drive for less than 70$ brand new

From this, I understand that if I use Gaia 2.05, I will have to have a BR disk in the drive to launch a game. Can this be ANY BR disk (movie), or does it have to be one of my original PS3 games?
