Are all Fat PS3's downgradable ?

Hey guys,

I was looking at this chart:
SKU Models - PS3 Development Wiki

It seems like all fat PS3s can be downgraded, but can someone tell me if that's definitely true ?

Also,
What if the PS3 in mind, is a Fat model, but can't read discs anymore, can it still play backups ?

all fat and most slim are but only with hardware.... there is no software downgrade

if it was on CFW it would be possible to play most games discless....

Moslty, you would need an e3 flasher though
