With all the clones being released - which one to get?
With all the clones being released - which one to get? –
Haven't seem a thread or sticky for this and am curious.
With all the clones being released, and PSGroove being able to run on a lot of different AT90XXX/Teensy/Blackcat etc devices is there any benefit of getting one over the other?
Apart from the stock issues for example why would I get a AT90USB vs a Blackcat USB when the one is a lot cheaper than the other?
I'd like to start a matrix comparing products/chips - does anything like this exist?
At this point the only differences found are flashing them with the hack, and cosmetic. People tend to prefer the smaller ones, but they all work basically the same. And there are some great flashing guides available here as well.

Here's a chart to anyone else that is interested. There are a ton of places selling these boards but it looks like these are the common ones. I'll update as I find more.
- Blackcat USB from Embeddedcomputers for $30 (No stock)
- Teensy from pjrc for $18 (No stock)
- Teensy++ from pjrc for $24 (No stock)
- AT90USB162 dev board from Sparkfun for $25 (No stock)
- ATAVRXPLAIN from Mouser for $32 (No stock)
- USBTINY MKII from Tom for $38
Since the shit-hit-the-fan, I'm waiting for the PSP port...
It's important to know what chip a clone has , so it can be flashed with PS Groove . If you have a commercial product in your hands please post a short review .
if your from uk theres one thats £10 but i cannot link u.
Thanks, but I eventually built myself a 18F2550 one
These true clones are different from the development boards. Yeah, the clones can be flashed with PSGroove just as the boards. There are going to be several options for the clones coming soon. This will help due to the shortage of development boards.
Well u can give us the name of the board can't you
