Ahh Come-on! - Blank Screen

Yup you guessed it ... Seems I've been hit with the Black Screen of Death! (Ohh new name perhaps?). As I was messing with MM yesterday on my phat box trying to see why Last Game Saved was not working with my USB games, I loaded KillZone off the Hard Drive .. Was playing some single player when I was called away to do some 'Honey-Do' things. So after a bit, I came back in, turned on the PS3 and yup no HDMI or RCA screen! Lights come on, but no one's home!. I've tried to go into recovery mode and do hear the 'beeps' but no luck. still a blank screen. Anything else I can try or is my box dead :( ... Tks

Go into recovery mode, reflash 3.55 OFW then install 3.55 kmeaw. That should fix the problem.

As for your original problem, last game doesn't work with select-x games. So if you have set select-x for your usb games (or if you have it set as default in options.ini) that might be the reason

If I could get into recovery mode I would. I hear the 'beeps' but no display....

Have you tried resetting the video output? I had a simiar problem where neither HDMI or RCA cables would work. Put the ps3 in standby, than hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds. You should hear it beep twice.

LOL:lol: maybe he/she didn't read it properly..:chinscrat erm.. so have you tried a different hdmi cable..? also try the normal rgb cable just incase to see if the problem is with the cable.. (it could also be your tv)

@ Stock / Ken - Yup tried both things. When this happened I did the power button video thing and nothing. I then thought it was the cable too so I took it out to the living room, threw the kids off the big screen and plugged it in... No signal. So I then took it back, pluged in the PS3 RCA cables and tried it on a small TV i use in the dungeon... Nope nothing... Suxs cause my other PS3 is @ 3.60 ...

Try pulling the HDD and see if you get a picture when you turn it on. It's a long shot, but worth a try.

Man I feel your pain just had my cfw deck die and the other was 3.60 I just hopeyou get it fixed.

My legit one went 2 weeks ago. Got a friend in SF that had one YLOD on them about 2 months ago. Gonna fix both, sell them to a pawn shop, then buy me a brand new slim.
