After downgrade to 3.41 but cant upgrade to 3.50

Hi,

I have to downgrade my ps3 slim because i want to upgrade to FW3.55 but only marvel vs capcom 3 plays and even old games dont play, so finally i downgrade to 3,41 but now, i want to upgrade it to FW 3.50 but i got this errors while upgrading to 3.42 or 3.50.

"The Data is Corrupted"
" (8002F169)"

Any help.

How i can upgrade to FW3.50 and then use jailbreak to play ps3 games directly to hdd.

Please i really need your help.

You need to downgrade again to lower version of firmware like 3.20, then upgrade to whatever firmware you want.cause i have the same problem on my ps3 slim.

The error is normal-It occurs when

1.Not formatted the pendrive correctly- Do a full format in fat32( if fat32 doesnt work, try FAT)
2.Use a different pendrive
3.Always use the first slot( the slot thats not close to BD drive)
4.This is important- Make sure there is no usb cable or any other usb devices connected to ps3 when update is happening.
5.If still same error, try upgrading (system update) by going to the recovery mode.

By the way- Why 3.50?? Why not 3.41--->Official firmware 3.55----> 3.55kmeaw( to play games from harddrive-the hack )

Afaik, these could be the possible reasons .

If these things dont work, try the 3.20 method as suggested by Markdc..thanks...aneesh

It's the same process, just use the 3.21 or whatever PS3UPDAT.PUP file on your thumbdrive instead of the modified 3.41 file you used for the 3.55 downgrade.

Yes, i have try it. for example. when i go to recovery mode, and click on update, it only ask for FW above 3.55 or 3.56 more. so the only solution is to downgrade FW 3.41 to 3.21.

ANY HELP.

See above. Just use the same lv2diag.self files you used for downgrading from 3.55, just use a firmware that is lower then 3.41, but higher then or equal to the firmware that came on your PS3.

Well, i finally downgrade to 3.21 and upgrade up to 3.50 but now, i got any problems that i can make my ps3break works on my ps3.

Do you know what is the problem with this?

Yeah, dongles only work on 3.41. Upgrade to 3.55 CFW.
