Aerialx (Aaron Lindsay) has posted a new PSGroove payload to his github. It utilizes the app_home/PS3_GAME option on your jailbroken PS3. With his payload you are able to load applications directly from a usb stick in a folder named PS3_GAME. You would need to extract the contents from your homebrew app’s pkg files. Which you can do by installing them normally, then ftp’ing in and grabbing the files. Then placing those files into the PS3_GAME folder on a usb stick. To run the application then you would select app_home/PS3_GAME from your XMB.

Aerialx has informed us that his payload does not have the Peek and Poke syscalls added. So if you plan to use the LV2 Dumper do not use this payload. He informed us that he is planning on including the Peek and Poke syscalls in a future revision. He also informed us he plans on working on a method to remotely execute applications via your PC. Here is his quote “[18:44] <Aerialx> Going to port a network filesystem I use for the Wii to it soon.”
    -PS Groove

I don't think this mean USB PSGroove if anyone thought that, i think it just means we will be able to run apps from a USB Thumbdrive without installing it into the PS3
So if the apps such as FTP Server are edited correctly they won't need to be installed onto the system.
