As of right now I have an original 60gb ps3 with an APS-226 power supply instead of the ZSSR5391A. So I already have a more efficient and cooler supply installed in the unit. I saw online that if the cpu and gpu are running 60+c then its probably harmful but, the thing is I have the lid off the top of my unit and also have a fan running next to it and it seems cool to the touch, the fans are not kicking on and even the exhaust are is cool. So even if its running 66c on both cpu and gpu is that bad? I really didnt want to get into the whole thermal paste thing and Ive never had my ps3 shut down because of over heating either, I just want to avoid it all together.
