5 PS3 SUCCESFULLY UPDAPTED(waninkoko cfw) (patched PUP included)

I have updated 5 PS3 and they all work.

Mine is a 20GB backward compatible with broken bluray drive..

3 slims and a 40GB Phat.

Those who are bricking are not following the instructions... I have included the file i am using.....

DO NOT PM ME................

If you are on a firmware <3.55 just put this file in your usb drive (PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP). Update the firmware like any ofw….

If you are already on 3.55, make sure you start your ps3 in recovery mode and follow the on screen guide.
How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu
1. Turn off Playstation®3.

2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

For those that don't follow directions exactly like in the first post, then of course your'e going to brick. I had 3.41, and updated to 3.55 Waninkoko firmware, reinstalled the MultiMan, booted X-Men Origins and Dante's Inferno just like before, Tested Gran Turismo 5 with a 1.02 update (since I had the Modified EBOOT file for 3.41, it wouldn't work on 3.55), and it worked, I am currently downloading the 1.05 update for GT5 on the PS3….PSN connects just fine

this has been reported that is not work on some model of ps3, if you are not 100% sure, dont DO IT!!!!!

i went from 3.41 directly to waninkoko 3.55 threw xmb....on slim 320 and worked perfectly

I've installed it on my 120gb slim and everything worked. Used multiman 3.41 and it loads my back-ups just fine.

i'm gonna hold off until a widespread fix is known and tested successfully.
