Sadly i dont think that model does not have Backwards compatibility for PS2 games Sony removed the function on later models consoles. some FAT ps3 will
However if your on 3.55 CFW you can upgrade to 4.xx CFW and play the small but growing library of PS2 classics purchased from the PS-Store. you cannot with 3.55cfw

Only models CECHAxx and CECHBxx (60gb and 20gb) have full PS2 compatability. CECHXxx and CECHExx (60gb and 80gb) have partial PS2 compatability. All other models, including yours unfortunately, have no PS2 compatability.
