3rd party controllers

Some people say they stopped working on 3.55 others say they worked , what is the latest info about this because that is what is preventing me from updating to cfw 3.55?

Sony stopped supporting 3rd party controllers somewhere between 3.41 and 3.55.
If you want to continue using these controllers, then you have to stay on 3.41.

If you DON'T have these controllers, then upgrade away.

3.50 break COUNTERFEIT controllers. Some licensed controllers were disabled with the update as well. It was because their license data was being used by the Chinese counterfeits.

If you have a PS3 controller that no longer syncs or charges and it won't work on recent versions of the PS3 or on the PC (with the up to date Motion In Joy) it's a counterfeit controller.
