3.70 spoof question

i seen a video today on another forum that shows an e3flasher being used to downgrade from 3.70 to 3.55. this is solderless, and from what i gather it might be a dongle that does it. anyway my question is this. if i wee to downgrade to 3.55 and install the 3.70 spoofer. will i beable to play the latest titles like portal 2. does the spoofer mke the ps3 think that 3.70 is installed so then allowing the latest games to play?

sorry for the noobish questions but i havnt jailbroken the ps3 before.

nope downgrading has nothing to do with playing newer games that require 3.56 and more .

ahhh ok i get it now. so im better off waiting for a proper jailbreak for 3.70 rather than downgrading?

Yea an Exploit or CFW 3.70 may come out you never know .

so is there no way at all to currently play 3.60 games on a 3.55 cfw ps3?

There is no way to play 3.6+ games on CFW. A spoofer only prevents the console from prompting you to update so you (or your brother) don't accidentally update.
