3.6x + Downgrade Questions.
3.6x + Downgrade Questions. –

Ok so i no that there is a downgrade method for 3.70 that requires a chip to be soldered on to the board of the ps3 and this only works with nor flash atm.
I have a few questions regarding this though.
1. Now that there was a downgrade for a 3.70 succsefully done does this mean that any FW under this say 3.66 can also be done in the same way without the need to update?
2. Because it has been done and able to be done do you think there will be more devs working on ways to downgrade without the need for soldering.
3. With this news surfaced how long do you think it will be before Sony push out another update to try to stop this from happening again.
Also there is one more thing that i would like to no as well.
I have been reading up on a couple of other things such as PS3Jig for those of you that don't no what this is it is a homebrew app that runs on a PSP and is connected to the PS3 via a usb cable which will allow it to go into Factory/Service Mode which is another way to downgrade.
Curious i am wondering if it would be possible to Downgrade through this option if people are on a higher OFW than 3.55 i am taking a guess saying that it wont because of the LV2diag keys are different so it was probably stupid to mention it.
So...... please let me no a little info on the things i have asked and don't bother with ohhh here we go again and again i am trying to clarify this for myself without trying to ask stupid questions that have already been answered in previous posts.
If you cant think of something pro creative to write or are simply going to post because you have to say something idiotic such as NOOB then dont bother there is no point in saying things like that which are not going to help when someone asks a simple question.
Yes they get repeated and yes people sometimes miss things but still everyone is only human :P
Cheers guys

Never trigger service mode on a 3.56+ console. You can enter it but cannot exit it and will be stuck forever.
If a downgrade is possible via hardware doesnt mean it's possible via software. This method involves directly rewritting the NAND/NOR (yes it works on NAND too).

Thanks for the quick reply, i thought it would be stuck forever.
Thanks for the info about it working for NAND/NOR as well i thought it was only NOR that it worked for.

Different flashers work for different versions of ps3s. Infectus only works on NAND, I believe, whereas ProgSkeet (and Teensy++, I believe) work on both.

yes I believe the NAND downgrade came before the NOR downgrade
