3.66 Exploit?

idk if this is an exploit but ill just post it

what i did was

1. turned off my ps3
2. unpluged the back power cable.
3. i pushed & hold the ejection button while im putting the power cable back in.

then the fans started up and the ps3 when into this like dead mode the eject button worked. but the ps3 didnt show eny thing on the screen.

to get out of dead mode i just had to unplug the cable and plug it back in normally

if you need a video proof just ask me and i guess ill make one by the way this was done on a ps3 160Gb Fw 3.66 cech-3001a

and if possible can this be used to make a 3.66 cfw,jfw or jb

there is nothing you can do with OFW 3.66

@ ceder the jb or any other exploit doesn't work that way .

lol yes 100% positive, exploits usually are a bit harder than that to come by... you just discovered PS3's fan test.

LOL, makes me wonder how many people are out there switching their consoles on using different button combinations trying to find a custom firmware.

Well obviously he was thinking of the way you could exploit PS1 and PS2 by disc swapping, but of course there is no such thing on PS3.
