If I were you, I'd trade it in. I bought my system the moment the 3.41 exploit came out. I expected that Sony would close the hole as fast as possible. I just didn't expect the degree at which they attacked everyone.
The good news is that if the system is in good condition you could probably get $200 out of it depending on which model it is. eBay and Amazon are good places to unload it. I'd personally stay away from Craigslist if I were you since advertising the ownership of expensive hardware tends to bring the REAL thieves out. That's just me though.
Of course if you had the funding, you could keep it for 3.56+ games and try locating a PS3 at Gamestop. Some of them will plug it in and show you the current firmware. Others have white knights working the counters. Most of them are cool with it. You'll know real fast if a White Knight is working the counter.
