3.56 Cfw out! Mods can u let me post it on main page ?

I don't know what you're looking at, but I can probably tell you it is fake. Did you see it on youtube, or on a site asking you to fill out a survey before downloading it, or one of the million of other fake PS3 jailbreak sites. I can assure you that if and when a new CFW comes out it will be huge news and will be the main topic here for a long while

probably he talks about the 3.56MA-1 from demon hades..it isn't a fake..but had a strange update metod..and if u install it..u cannotmove without a nand/nor programmer

it is spreading like wildfire although from everything i've read so far this is the brunt of it....

3.55 kmeaw (or other) cfw gets you...
homebrew,
backup managers to play games <3.60 and 'some' games >3.60
no psn

3.56 jfw give you...
same homebrew as 3.55 cfw,
a pretty theme
NO new games >3.60!
NO old existing backups <3.60!
...NO backup games via managers at all!
backups need to be 'installed' using the old psn style pkg thing to load from xmb(dear oh dear)
NO psn
NO integrated cobra functions (heard this was supposed to be included at some point ages ago)
also no going back from the 3.56 cfw to a working kmeaw without flashing

in other words - if you're on kmeaw or whatnot and its working for you fine then....
dont touch this with a 10 foot barge pole... you WILL regret it

if, however, you're stuck on 3.56 ofw then at least this will get you some homebrew and a horribly annoying way of backing up some of your games but to be honest i would stay on 3.56 ofw and wait out the ride until something better comes out (hopefully soon)

EDIT: now also reading that you need to be on 3.55 to install it - therefore losing the functionality of kmeaw by upgrading or having to downgrade to 3.55 using a flasher then install a useless 3.56 cfw when you would've been better off installing kmeaw, lol

.... as well as the fact that i'm already on kmeaw and not only is there no point in updating to 3.56 jfw as it doesnt add any new features that kmeaw doesnt have

it also loses some - like playing my back up games

Why the heck isn't this worth a front page article with links? I get that's it's not as useful to the public as yet another showtime build but it is still worth mentioning. Thanks muj for the link and sketchdesigner for the infos.

CFW 3.56....kind of seems like enough there to say it's not news worthy to me.

Another reason would probably be, currently people can play 3.56 and some 3.60 FW games on 3.55 and not lose anything! Not only that, but the site reporting it is just a news feed type site. I doubt it has any "internet street cred" for most people to take it serious. Considering I just went to the site, there's one to zero comment on majority of what's posted on there, which has been taken from somewhere else just to make it seem reputable...and if you look at every story, it doesn't even state where it came from original! Thus really making it the most non-reputable site out there when it comes to CFW.

Admin and mods here as well as any other site take what they put on it serious! (Even if the story is "crap" and will cause bashing.)
PSX-Scene and other sites aren't going to ruin their loyal posters/followers trust.
