3.55CFW -> 3.56OFW. Need to settle an argument
Okay, I need to settle an argument.
He claims "OH NOES! Don't update from 3.55CFW to 3.56 OFW!! It WILL brick!!111".
He claims it has something to do with lvl2.
Since we all are fortunate enough to not breathe solely out of our mouths, we know a few things:
-3.41OFW - >3.55CFW is safe (I did it, no in-between steps)
-Nobody actually uses waninkoko's firmware (edit: okay, fine, some people do)
-Kmeaw's firmware leaves lvl2 untouched (which is why we have to run a package/use an updated backup manager every boot)
-Updating completely rewrites the nand (xor?). You could theoretically go from anything to 3.56OFW
Anywhere I'm wrong? PS3 doesn't use efuses, so that's out.
