3.55 spoof on a 3.41? Amaze break. (QUICK QUESTION)

Question - I used a "3.55 spoof for 3.41" and jailbroke my PS3. Installed everything, even played a game. While running Castlevania, it asked for an update for the game. Downloaded it and installed it and the game ran fine. Then, when I checked my System's Firmware it indicated "3.55".

I still could get into all games and re-jailbreak it on each console load.

What's the deal?

Also - should I update a game when it asks to now?

Disable the network function so that way the system has no way of updating through wireless or cable.

No Deal

the game had just a update not the firmware,
spoof 3.55 means the system thinks its already on 3.55 (showing also in the config menu, so no big deal,

keep in mind that some games lost compatibilty after updating, but the most will keep working.

with 3.55 spoof for 3.41 do u use modified eboots or unmodified everyone seems to have different answer lol

The answer is different because it's different for differenmt games. Some games just need spoof - then unmodified eboot will do. Some need modified eboot. And some need CFW 3.55. There are more info in this list (List of Working and Non-Working Games for PS3 (12/22/2010) (273 Games))...
