3.55 ps3 stolen!!! want to buy new ps3 but which has low fw from AMAZON

ok my ps3 with 3.55 kmeaw was stolen on nye (if anyone sees an 80gb jailbroken with 5 games up on any auction/classified site from the NYC area plz post) and im really upset so forgive my impatient question

ive been lookin at ebay and craigslist but after talking to sellers, i dont think gettin a used ps3 from some random dudes a good idea

i also have $150 in amazon gift credit so i want to buy from them

ive emailed sellers with used systems, but that takes forever and mostly reply with its the newest model

my question: what ps3 do you think i should get with fw 3.55 or lower from amazon? should i get a new 160gb and hope its old stock, or should i get a used one that MIGHT have low fw....see amazon takes 100% refunds on used systems so i can get my money back unlike craigslist.

so please offer ur hunting advice for amazon's stock.

You will not find a 160gb with 3.55 or lower firmware so I suggest you either look for a brand new 120gb PS3 because they all have 3.50 or lower stock, or look for a used PS3 with that firmware.

I just bought a brand new 120gb slim off Ebay for $280 a few weeks ago. It came with 3.50fw. You just have to find the good deal.

If I were you I would just search EBay for older system. Ask lots of sellers what firmware version it is on. Give them instructions on how to obtain the FW version. Be nice and liberal use of your clipboard paste function. You will have success.

i bought a fat 40gig 3.55 fw without a HDD, pickin it up tomorrow and puttin in HDD. then im gona dual boot downgrade it, what would you use e3 or progskeet dual boot? or somethingg else (a hardware pc tech is doing the hardware flashing n installation)

MORE IMPORTANTLY, to install the new hdd, do i just plug it in and let the ps3 do the rest? i know i should have ofw 3.55 and kmewa cfw 3.55 ready on usb, but is there anything else to know
