3.55 kiosk console

So I just purchased a kiosk ps3 from ebay and the seller says it's 3.55. I know you can convert a 3.41 kiosk to retail, but can I do the same with a 3.55? Looked all over but couldn't find much on 3.55 kiosk units.

What I've read: is there a way to make the firmware donwgrade 3:55 to 3:41 but you need to know what the firmware pre-installed from factory. It only works if the firmware is below 3.50. If I remember the first downgrades to 3.15 (something) makes upgrading to 3.41, then upgrade it to cfw 3:55. Not sure if this is exactly how, but something like that.
The correct answer only mathieulh knows, but he will not help you for obvious reasons...

is it possible to downgrade a 3.55 demo PS3 the same way you would a retail PS3?

or does anyone know if i can convert the 3.55 demo console to a retail? I know below 3.55 can be done, just not sure about 3.55.

that's what I'm trying to find out, not once have i seen anything about converting or downgrading a 3.55 kiosk console, I don't want to blindly try and brick it.
