3.55 Geohot>3.55 OFW>3.41 spoofed from 3.56>3.41 modified>3.41 OFW loses dongle jailbreak ability

Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else. I did aforementioned downgrade and I can't jailbreak with dongles (install package won't show up) but I can run 3.55 signed programs. Does anyone know how to bring my dongles back?

If your system supports it, you could try downgrading to 3.40 then use recovery mode to upgrade to 3.41.

How do I know if it supports it? I have a phat 60gb CECHA01, heard this method works only for phats?

All phats can install 3.40, since those consoles were released before 3.40 was.

It didn't work. I went from OFW 3.55 again to 3.40 but still no 'install packages'. Anything else I can try?

You could just install herme's CFW for 3.41? I have it and it works great (install packages is always on the xmb no need to faff with the dongle)

The reason I want dongle is because I want to sell it to my friend along with the system. Yeah I'm so evil

Why is this happening? Did $ony add some security feature in 3.55 to abolish dongle jailbreak or is it just a bug? I haven't heard of anyone reporting this when they downgraded from 3.50.
