3.55 CFW vs. Sony –
04-05-2011,12:31 PM
Hi
My bluetooth module in console has gone down and i cannot connect my wireless controllers to console (they works 1 out of 3 times).
I had 3.55 kmeaw and i reinstalled OFW 3.55
Can i send it to Sony on guarantee and they will fix it, or is the console flagged or something because i had 3.55 kmeaw on it before and Sony will charge me on this?
Anyway is there any wat to fix it in some service, or maybe replacing the motherboard can work?
I'am waiting for your reply! Especially if i can send the console to Sony on guarantee?!

I still do not have the clear answer.
I returned back to OFW 3.55 from Kmeaw 3.55 CFW.
Can i safetly send the console to PlayStation and have the bluetooth repaired? Or they will be albe to check it was jailbroken previously and won't repair it/or they will charge me for the repair?

They won't even check the console. They usually just verify that you sent one and then grab one out of the refurb pile and send it back to you.

If you have a LAUNCH PS3, you should get the same model too. But if they try to give you a different model PS3 or a PS3 with the latest firmware, assertively DEMAND them to either fix YOUR PS3 because it has Linux support or a full refund. Sony tried to send me a PS3 with no backwards compatibility and they thought they weren't gonna get caught

LOL
You act like Sony was trying to screw you, but actually they were giving you a better console with HDMI-CEC and bitstreaming!
I use HDMI -CEC primarily, so I don't know how you all live without it using the old consoles.

A better console is subjective. For some, losing 2 USB ports, various media card support, as well as hardware-based ps2 emulation support, is a much better console than any of the newer models. You may be happy with HDMI-CEC and bitstreaming, but a lot of people would be very upset to lose the ability to play ps2 games.

It all depends what is wrong with it. My Blu-ray laser went out on mine and I had received my console back.
