Sorry if this has been discussed but i couldn't find a similar thread (hopefully there aren't 10 on the first page but i found them to be different issues)

Installed a new hdd today, my system was on 3.55, so i got keamu 3.55 and tried to update. Went to system update via storage media, it started to install - when it finished, it said something like "latest update already found" and then rebooted. Nothing is different. I have multiman on a usb stick waiting to be loaded on but i can't find the .pkg under games to do it.

    What am i doing wrong?

You need to install the keamu FW from your system recovery mode. You can enther this by turning off your system and holding down. It will beep , then beep some more and turn off. Keep holding till it turns back on a beeps again. when you release you will have to plug your controller in VIA a usb cable then scroll down and select system update and click that with your usb plugged into the system.

This is based on memeory and the information about the beeps might be a bit off. If it doesnt work google search "ps3 recovery mode"
